This morning at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, CJ Wilson Racing announced a commercial and promotional partnership with HD Radio. This season-long deal will see the HD Radio brand feature on all of the Austin based team’s Porsches competing in the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge and the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama.
The twenty one mile journey from the CJ Wilson Racing race shop in Austin to the Circuit of the Americas takes approximately twenty minutes. The fact that the team haulers can leave the shop on the same day that they are due to load-in at the Austin track adds additional days of preparation time for the team and crew who are now already in what feels like mid-season mode.
With an almost seven week gap between Sebring and this week's events at Circuit of the Americas, it would be easy to assume that the CJ Wilson Racing drivers would be taking advantage of the early season down time.
